Our Core Beliefs

At City Point Church, everything flows from our desire to see people encounter Jesus and be transformed by His presence. We believe the Gospel is not only good news for eternity, but power for real life today. As we follow Jesus together, we are continually formed, renewed, and shaped into His likeness.

 

ENCOUNTER GOD

We believe one genuine encounter with God can change everything. When people encounter His presence, grace, and truth, lives are transformed from the inside out. We pursue God through worship, prayer, the teaching of Scripture, and intentional discipleship—creating space for the Holy Spirit to move, speak, and draw hearts closer to Christ.

 

FIND COMMUNITY

We believe life change happens best in community. God designed us to grow together, not in isolation. As we live life alongside one another, we are encouraged, challenged, and strengthened in our faith (Hebrews 10:24).
Through intentional relationships and Well Groups, we walk together as disciples of Jesus, learning to love God and one another more fully.

 

DISCOVER PURPOSE

We believe every person is created by God with purpose. No one is accidental, and everyone has a role to play in God’s Kingdom.
As people grow in their relationship with Jesus, we help them discover their God-given gifts and empower them to use those gifts to make a difference through discipleship, community, and obedience to Christ.

 

SERVE OTHERS

We believe faith is lived out through love in action. Jesus calls us to serve others as an expression of His love and humility.
We look for opportunities to meet needs, serve our community, and share the love of Christ—whether through serving on a team, giving generously, or reaching those who have not yet experienced the life-changing love of Jesus.

WE KEEP IT SIMPLE

While God is infinitely good and complex, we believe our relationship with him is not complicated. Religion often creates barriers, but Jesus invites us into a simple, life-giving relationship with Him.
Our desire is to remove unnecessary obstacles and provide clear, practical steps that help people grow as disciples and walk faithfully with Jesus.

 

WE ARE GENEROUS

We believe generosity reflects the heart of God. We give freely of our time, resources, and talents because Christ has given so freely to us.
With joyful generosity, we serve others and invest in what God is doing—trusting Him to use our obedience to impact lives.

 

WE HONOR EVERYONE

We believe every person is created in the image of God and carries immeasurable worth. Regardless of background, race, gender, life experience, or where someone is on their spiritual journey, we choose to honor and love people as God does.

 

WE HAVE BIG FAITH

We believe God is able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine. We pray bold prayers, trust God fully, and step forward in faith—believing He is still working, moving, and performing miracles today.
 

WE LAUGH OFTEN

We believe joy is a gift from God. While we take our faith seriously, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Laughter, joy, and genuine relationships are part of healthy life together as the Body of Christ.

 

EVERYONE CAN BELONG

We are a “come as you are” church. You don’t have to have everything figured out to belong here. We welcome people right where they are, knowing none of us are perfect.
At the same time, we believe encountering Jesus changes everything. As we follow Him, our old life is surrendered, and we are made new in Christ. Together, we pursue growth, transformation, and maturity—becoming more like Jesus as His disciples. Our heart is to walk alongside one another as God shapes us into the people He created us to be.
